Community Guidelines
Please take a moment to review the standards of conduct that apply to everyone participating in the Mind Body Horsemanship community.
Last Updated: August 5, 2026
Part I
Introduction
1. Purpose of these Community Guidelines
These Community Guidelines establish the standards of conduct, expectations and principles that apply to all Members participating in the Mind Body Horsemanship community, including MBH Academy, community discussions, comments, groups, live sessions and any other community spaces operated or made available by Mind Body Horsemanship.
Their purpose is to foster a welcoming, respectful, professional and supportive learning environment where Members can share knowledge, ask questions, exchange ideas and develop their horsemanship in a manner consistent with the values and educational philosophy of Mind Body Horsemanship.
These Community Guidelines are intended to protect the wellbeing of our Members, promote respectful communication, support the welfare of horses and maintain the integrity of the MBH community.
All Members are expected to read, understand and comply with these Community Guidelines, together with our Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, Certification Policy, Disclaimer and any other applicable legal policies or community requirements published by Mind Body Horsemanship.
Participation in the MBH community is a privilege rather than a right. Mind Body Horsemanship reserves the right, acting reasonably, in good faith and in accordance with applicable law, to moderate community spaces and to take appropriate action where these Community Guidelines or other applicable policies are not respected.
Nothing in these Community Guidelines limits any mandatory statutory rights available under applicable law.
Where applicable law grants Members rights that are more favourable than the provisions of these Community Guidelines, those mandatory legal rights shall prevail to the extent required by law.
These Community Guidelines form an integral part of the Terms & Conditions governing your use of the Mind Body Horsemanship Website, MBH Academy, community spaces and our Services.
Part II
MBH Community Philosophy
2. Our Community Values
The Mind Body Horsemanship community is built upon the belief that exceptional horsemanship begins with continuous learning, continuous improvement, personal responsibility, mutual respect and a genuine commitment to understanding both horses and people.
Our community exists to provide a safe, welcoming, inclusive and professional environment where Members can learn, ask questions, share experiences and support one another throughout their horsemanship journey.
Every Member contributes to the culture of the MBH community through their actions, communication and willingness to learn, both within our online community spaces and during any community interactions associated with Mind Body Horsemanship.
At Mind Body Horsemanship, we believe that leadership is demonstrated not through force or authority, but through consistency, clarity, responsibility, emotional awareness, clear communication and the ability to create trust.
We also believe that responsible horsemanship extends beyond technical knowledge. It includes integrity, patience, compassion, empathy, lifelong learning, sound judgement and an ongoing commitment to the welfare of horses.
The MBH community is founded on the principle that every Member, regardless of their level of experience, deserves to be treated with dignity, respect and fairness.
Members are encouraged to approach discussions with humility, professionalism, curiosity and a genuine willingness both to learn from others and to contribute positively to the learning of the community. We encourage Members to assume positive intent, recognising that respectful dialogue often leads to deeper understanding and stronger relationships.
Differences of opinion are a natural part of learning. Respectful and constructive discussion is encouraged, provided that it remains courteous, evidence-informed where appropriate and consistent with the values of the MBH community. Respectful disagreement, when expressed professionally and in good faith, is recognised as a valuable part of learning and personal growth.
These Community Guidelines are intended not only to establish minimum standards of behaviour but also to promote a positive, supportive and collaborative learning environment that reflects the educational philosophy, integrity and professional standards of Mind Body Horsemanship.
Nothing in this section limits any obligations contained elsewhere in these Community Guidelines, our Terms & Conditions or any other applicable legal policies governing your participation in the Mind Body Horsemanship community.
Part III
Member Conduct
3. Expected Member Conduct
Members are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful, responsible and professional manner whenever participating in MBH Academy, community discussions, live sessions, events or any other community spaces operated or made available by Mind Body Horsemanship, whether interacting publicly or privately through community features.
Participation in the MBH community carries a shared responsibility to contribute positively to the learning environment, protect the learning experience of other Members and help maintain a culture that reflects the values, educational philosophy and professional standards of Mind Body Horsemanship.
Unless otherwise permitted by Mind Body Horsemanship, Members are expected to:
- communicate respectfully, professionally and courteously with other Members, instructors and representatives of Mind Body Horsemanship;
- contribute constructively to discussions and educational activities;
- respect differences in experience, knowledge, opinions and learning styles;
- provide feedback in a constructive, honest and respectful manner;
- ask questions and participate in discussions in good faith;
- support a safe, welcoming and inclusive learning environment;
- respect the privacy and confidentiality of other Members where applicable;
- use community spaces primarily for their intended educational purposes;
- comply with all reasonable instructions, community rules and moderation decisions issued by Mind Body Horsemanship;
- respect moderation decisions and seek to resolve any concerns through appropriate communication channels rather than through public disputes;
- avoid behaviour that may unnecessarily disrupt discussions or interfere with the learning experience of other Members;
- act honestly and with integrity in all interactions relating to MBH Academy and the MBH community;
- comply with these Community Guidelines, our Terms & Conditions and any other applicable legal policies;
- and conduct themselves in a manner that promotes the reputation, integrity and positive culture of the Mind Body Horsemanship community.
Members are encouraged to communicate thoughtfully and professionally, recognising that written communications may easily be misunderstood. Constructive discussion, respectful disagreement and evidence-informed dialogue are welcomed where they contribute positively to learning, remain consistent with the values of the MBH community and refrain from personal attacks or unnecessary hostility.
Members should also recognise that educational discussions are intended to support learning rather than replace appropriate professional advice, veterinary care, medical advice or other specialist services where such assistance is reasonably required. Each Member remains responsible for exercising their own independent judgement when applying information shared within the community.
Mind Body Horsemanship encourages Members to report behaviour that appears to be inconsistent with these Community Guidelines so that concerns may be reviewed fairly and, where appropriate, addressed in accordance with our moderation procedures. Members should feel able to raise such concerns in good faith without fear of retaliation by Mind Body Horsemanship.
Nothing in this section limits the discretion of Mind Body Horsemanship to moderate community discussions or take appropriate action where reasonably necessary to protect the integrity, safety and positive culture of the MBH community.
Nothing in this section limits any obligations contained elsewhere in these Community Guidelines, our Terms & Conditions or any other applicable legal policies governing participation in the Mind Body Horsemanship community.
Part IV
Horse Welfare
4. Horse Welfare & Responsible Horsemanship
The welfare, safety and humane treatment of horses are fundamental principles of Mind Body Horsemanship and form an essential part of the values promoted throughout MBH Academy and the MBH community.
Members are expected to approach all interactions with horses responsibly, ethically and with appropriate regard for the physical and emotional wellbeing of each individual horse.
Mind Body Horsemanship recognises that every horse is unique and that responsible horsemanship requires thoughtful observation, sound judgement, patience, continuous learning and an ongoing willingness to adapt to the individual needs, abilities and limitations of each horse.
Unless otherwise permitted by applicable law or expressly authorised by Mind Body Horsemanship, Members are expected to:
- prioritise the welfare, safety and humane treatment of horses at all times;
- handle and train horses responsibly, thoughtfully and with due regard for their individual needs, abilities and circumstances;
- apply the principles taught within MBH Academy responsibly and within the limits of their own knowledge, competence and experience;
- recognise when additional professional assistance is reasonably required;
- avoid practices that are reckless, abusive, unnecessarily forceful, negligent or otherwise likely to compromise the welfare of a horse;
- comply with applicable animal welfare laws and regulations;
- exercise appropriate judgement when sharing advice, demonstrations or educational content involving horses;
- encourage responsible, safe and ethical horsemanship within the MBH community;
- and promote respect for both horses and fellow Members through their conduct within the MBH community.
Educational discussions within the MBH community are intended to support learning and the responsible exchange of ideas. Members remain solely responsible for exercising their own independent judgement when applying any information, techniques or educational content to their own horses or to horses owned by others. Members should avoid presenting personal opinions or individual experiences as universally applicable to every horse or situation.
Nothing within MBH Academy, the MBH community or these Community Guidelines should be interpreted as encouraging unsafe, unlawful or inhumane treatment of horses or as replacing appropriate veterinary care, professional advice or other specialist assistance where such assistance is reasonably required.
Mind Body Horsemanship reserves the right to remove content or take appropriate moderation action where content or conduct appears reasonably likely to promote practices that are unlawful, dangerous, seriously misleading or materially inconsistent with the principles of horse welfare promoted by Mind Body Horsemanship.
Nothing in this section requires Members to adopt any particular training method beyond compliance with applicable law and these Community Guidelines. Members remain responsible for exercising their own independent professional judgement while participating in the MBH community.
Nothing in this section limits any obligations contained elsewhere in these Community Guidelines, including the MBH Community Philosophy, our Terms & Conditions, our Disclaimer or any other applicable legal policies governing participation in the Mind Body Horsemanship community.
Part V

Members remain solely responsible for all Community Content that they create, upload, publish or otherwise share, including any consequences arising from such Community Content.

Mind Body Horsemanship does not claim ownership of Community Content submitted by Members and does not accept responsibility for the accuracy, reliability, legality or opinions expressed in any Community Content published by Members.
Members should exercise appropriate care when posting Community Content and should avoid sharing confidential, sensitive or personal information relating to themselves or third parties unless they are comfortable doing so, are legally entitled to disclose such information and such disclosure is consistent with applicable law.
Mind Body Horsemanship reserves the right, acting reasonably, in good faith and in accordance with applicable law, to review, moderate, restrict, edit, remove, preserve as evidence or disable access to Community Content where it reasonably considers such action necessary to protect the integrity, safety, lawful operation or educational purpose of the MBH community or to comply with applicable law.
Nothing in this section obliges Mind Body Horsemanship to monitor all Community Content or to review Community Content before it is published.
Community Content may remain stored or accessible for a reasonable period of time following its removal where reasonably necessary for technical, administrative, legal, security or backup purposes, subject to our Privacy Policy and applicable law.
Nothing in this section limits any intellectual property rights, privacy rights or other legal rights belonging to Members or third parties under applicable law.
Nothing in this section limits any provisions relating to moderation, prohibited conduct, intellectual property, privacy or disclaimers contained elsewhere in these Community Guidelines, our Terms & Conditions, our Privacy Policy, our Disclaimer or any other applicable legal policies.

Mind Body Horsemanship may exercise moderation powers following reports submitted by Members, observations made by moderators or representatives of Mind Body Horsemanship, information received from third parties where appropriate, automated platform tools where available or any other information reasonably indicating that moderation may be required.
Moderation decisions are made on a case-by-case basis having regard to the nature, seriousness and circumstances of the relevant conduct, any previous relevant conduct where appropriate, the interests of the MBH community, the welfare of horses and any other factors reasonably considered relevant.
Where reasonably practicable, Mind Body Horsemanship may provide a Member with an opportunity to clarify the relevant circumstances before taking moderation action but shall not be obliged to do so. Nothing in this section requires prior notice where immediate action is reasonably necessary to protect Members, horses, the integrity of the MBH community or to comply with applicable law.
Mind Body Horsemanship is not obliged to remove, edit or restrict Community Content solely because a Member disagrees with its content, expresses respectful criticism or holds a different opinion, provided that the content otherwise complies with these Community Guidelines.
Members are expected to comply promptly with any reasonable moderation request or instruction issued by Mind Body Horsemanship in connection with these Community Guidelines.
Moderation decisions are made in good faith and with the objective of maintaining a safe, respectful and productive learning environment. Part VIII
Reporting Concerns
8. Reporting Violations
Mind Body Horsemanship encourages Members to help maintain a safe, respectful and professional community, together with the safety and welfare of horses, by reporting conduct or Community Content that they reasonably believe may be inconsistent with these Community Guidelines, our Terms & Conditions or applicable law.
Reports should be made honestly, responsibly, in good faith and based upon information that the Member reasonably believes to be accurate at the time the report is submitted.
Members may report, where appropriate, conduct or Community Content that appears to involve, without limitation:
- harassment, bullying, intimidation or abuse;
- discrimination, hate speech or unlawful behaviour;

- unauthorised use of intellectual property;
- breaches of privacy or the unauthorised disclosure of personal information;
- spam, unauthorised advertising or other prohibited conduct;
- or any other behaviour that reasonably appears to breach these Community Guidelines.
When submitting a report, Members are encouraged, where reasonably possible, to provide sufficient information to assist Mind Body Horsemanship in reviewing the matter efficiently. This may include a description of the relevant conduct, the individuals involved, screenshots, links, dates, times or any other information reasonably available. Members should not investigate suspected misconduct themselves or place themselves or others at unnecessary risk in order to obtain evidence.
Mind Body Horsemanship will review reports in good faith and may, where reasonably necessary, investigate the reported matter in accordance with these Community Guidelines, our Terms & Conditions and applicable law, while preserving confidentiality wherever reasonably possible.
Submission of a report does not guarantee that moderation or enforcement action will be taken. Mind Body Horsemanship reserves the right to determine, acting reasonably, in good faith and in accordance with applicable law, whether a reported matter requires further review or action.
To protect the privacy of Members and the integrity of moderation processes, Mind Body Horsemanship is not obliged to disclose the outcome of any investigation, the reasons for any moderation decision or any confidential information relating to another Member, except where disclosure is required by applicable law.
Members must not knowingly submit false, malicious, frivolous or misleading reports or otherwise misuse the reporting process. Abuse of the reporting system may itself constitute a breach of these Community Guidelines and may result in appropriate moderation or enforcement action.
Members are encouraged, where appropriate and safe to do so, to resolve minor misunderstandings through respectful communication before submitting a report. Nothing in this section requires a Member to contact another individual before reporting conduct that may involve harassment, abuse, threats, unlawful behaviour or any matter that may reasonably require immediate moderation or where doing so could create an unnecessary risk.
Nothing in this section creates any contractual obligation on the part of Mind Body Horsemanship to investigate, mediate or resolve disputes between Members.
Nothing in this section obliges Mind Body Horsemanship to investigate every report or to take action in every case. Reports will be prioritised and addressed having regard to their nature, seriousness, the information available, the potential impact on Members or horses and the resources reasonably available to Mind Body Horsemanship.
Nothing in this section limits any provisions relating to moderation, prohibited conduct, privacy, confidentiality or any other obligations contained elsewhere in these Community Guidelines, our Terms & Conditions, our Privacy Policy, our Disclaimer or any other applicable legal policies.
Nothing in this section limits any rights or remedies available to Mind Body Horsemanship under applicable law.
Part IX
Consequences
9. Warnings, Suspension & Removal
Mind Body Horsemanship is committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, inclusive, professional and educational community. Where a Member fails to comply with these Community Guidelines, our Terms & Conditions or any other applicable legal policies, Mind Body Horsemanship may take appropriate action to protect the MBH community, its Members, the welfare of horses and the legitimate interests of Mind Body Horsemanship.
Any action taken under this section will be determined on a case-by-case basis, taking into account the nature, seriousness, frequency and circumstances of the relevant conduct, its impact on the MBH community, together with any previous relevant conduct where appropriate.
Depending on the circumstances, Mind Body Horsemanship may, without limitation:
- provide informal guidance or reminders regarding expected community standards;
- issue a verbal or written warning;
- require the removal, correction or modification of Community Content;
- temporarily disable a Member's ability to post, comment or otherwise interact within community spaces;
- temporarily restrict access to particular community features or activities;
- temporarily suspend participation in community discussions, live sessions or other community spaces;

- revoke community privileges or participation rights where appropriate;
- suspend or terminate a Member's MBH Academy Account where permitted under our Terms & Conditions;
- take action in relation to any certification status in accordance with the applicable Certification Policy, where relevant;
- or take any other reasonable contractual, administrative or legal action available under applicable law.
Mind Body Horsemanship will, where reasonably practicable, seek to apply moderation and enforcement measures proportionately. However, nothing in this section requires Mind Body Horsemanship to apply progressive enforcement measures or issue warnings before taking action where immediate intervention is reasonably necessary.
Immediate suspension or removal may be appropriate where conduct involves, for example:
- serious harassment, threats or abusive behaviour;
- conduct creating a significant risk to the safety or welfare of people or horses;
- fraud, impersonation or other dishonest conduct;
- repeated or serious breaches of these Community Guidelines;
- repeated failure to comply with reasonable moderation instructions;
- unlawful activity;
- misuse of MBH Academy, Member Accounts or community features;
- significant infringement of intellectual property rights;
- or any other conduct that Mind Body Horsemanship reasonably considers sufficiently serious to justify immediate action.
Where a Member is suspended or removed from community spaces, such action does not automatically affect any contractual rights or obligations relating to purchased products or Services, certification status or other rights unless otherwise provided under our Terms & Conditions, the applicable Certification Policy, applicable law or another applicable legal policy.
Nothing in this section prevents Mind Body Horsemanship from correcting administrative errors or correcting, modifying or reversing an enforcement decision where additional information subsequently becomes available or where doing so is otherwise considered appropriate.
Nothing in this section creates any entitlement to receive a warning before enforcement action is taken, nor does it require Mind Body Horsemanship to apply identical enforcement measures in different cases involving different facts or circumstances. Likewise, nothing prevents Mind Body Horsemanship from issuing multiple warnings or applying different enforcement measures where reasonably appropriate.
Nothing in this section limits any provisions relating to moderation, reporting violations, certification, refunds, account termination, intellectual property or any other rights or remedies available to Mind Body Horsemanship under these Community Guidelines, our Terms & Conditions, our Refund Policy or applicable law.
Nothing in this section limits any other provisions contained in these Community Guidelines, our Terms & Conditions, our Certification Policy, our Refund Policy, our Privacy Policy, our Disclaimer or any other applicable legal policies governing participation in the Mind Body Horsemanship community.

Such notice may be provided through our Website, MBH Academy, email communications, community announcements or any other appropriate means.
Unless otherwise required by applicable law, changes to these Community Guidelines become effective upon publication of the updated version.
Changes to these Community Guidelines apply only from their effective date and do not apply retrospectively to completed moderation decisions, investigations or other actions taken before the changes became effective, unless otherwise required by applicable law or expressly stated by Mind Body Horsemanship.
Where reasonably necessary to protect the integrity, safety, proper administration or educational purpose of the MBH community, Mind Body Horsemanship may apply updated moderation procedures, reporting processes, administrative practices or community management measures to matters that are ongoing at the time the changes become effective, provided that doing so does not adversely affect any mandatory statutory rights or otherwise conflict with applicable law.
We encourage Members to review these Community Guidelines periodically so that they remain informed about the standards, expectations and rules governing participation in the MBH community.
Nothing in these Community Guidelines guarantees that any particular community feature, discussion forum, live session, communication channel or other community service will continue to be offered indefinitely or in its current form.
